My First Nomination – The Entertainer Blogger Award

I’ve never done this before, so please be gentle.

Why did you start to blog?

I guess my first blog was my tumblr blog. Since a girl I liked had a tumblr, I made one, too. However, I was never really into reblogging other stuff; I much preferred sharing stuff instead. So for 2 years or so I would be making little anime gifs or taking funny screenshots, long after the girl and I went our seperate ways. Eventually I had to abandon my tumblr for various reasons (an online hater started checking my blog way too often and made me feel disgusted, my ex stopped using tumblr so I figured I should also move on, I needed to concentrate on my college classes so I could graduate, etc).

After graduating a few months ago, however, I found myself with too much free time. So I started blogging here on WordPress. Being able to actually write words about my passions instead of just sharing pictures is a real boon to me. I just ask that readers be patient as I try to not suck at blogging!

What is your favorite book?

I think The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley is among my favorites. A strong heroine who is actually blessed with superpowers due to her bloodline? It almost sounds like a shounen manga, kind of, except there’s actually romance. I’m all for that kind of gushy stuff.

I’m also a fan of The Wind in the Willows by by Kenneth Grahame as well as Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. My tastes seem both childish and antiquated, huh?

I’m also keenly following The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher. Harry Dresden, you will be happy one day! At least, we all hope you will be!

What do you dislike the most?

There’s a few things I could list here, but I think I’ve come to really despise rude internet people. Those who talk about you behind your back, those who thinks they’re the biggest source of grief in your life, those who constantly stalk your social media outlets yet claim they’re not obsessed with you, etc. I’m just not interested, dude, sorry.

Looking at this rant, though, I realize I need to be more refined in my own internet actions. I’m sorry if I’ve come across as impolite before.

What is your favorite food item at the mall?

Ohhhh man, I guess it’s the Mongolian BBQ? You pick your meat, you pick your toppings, you pick your sauces, and then they put all of your choices and noodes over a fryer and stir-fry that goddness right in front of you. Good memories eating that with friends, both past and present.

I also like Wetzel’s Pretzels’ jalaroni pretzel, too. You know, the pretzel with jalapenos and pepperonis on top? Same goes with dippin’ dots. They’re so unique! For these two particular food items, however, it seems like I’m just being nostalgatic about my ex. For now, I still enjoy them if I don’t think too hard while I’m eating.

What is your favorite pastime?

I’ve damned myself by being entranced by mahjong. If dreams came true, I’d be a professional mahjong player. As it stands, I waste hours of my life every week playing a game that doesn’t amount to anything in real life.
