I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award!

Thank you for the nomination, D!

The Liebster Award is one that recognizes up and coming bloggers by helping others discover new blogs and facilitate community building via a chain system of nominations.

Rules:

Thank the person who nominated you and answer the 11 questions they’ve written for you.

Nominate 11 people and give them 11 different questions to answer.

D’s Questions

1. Your favorite anime opening

“Miracle Rush” from Saki Achiga-hen always put a smile on my face (and makes me want to play mahjong despite trying very hard to quit the game). Starlog from Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya is a very close second, however.

2. Do you have any pets?

I don’t, but I still use the name of the girl I crushed on back in high school as the answer to the secret question, “What’s the name of your pet?” It’s messed up, I know.

3. What kind of movies do you like?

Comedy. Maybe rom-com? I appreciate thrillers, but horror keeps me up at night.

4. The last thing you ate

I guess that would be the piece of sliced ham that fell onto the countertop as I cooked some spaghetti neapolitan for lunch tomorrow. I discovered that Japanese ketchup is very different from Heinz ketchup, by the way.

5. An anime genre you would absolutely not watch

I guess hentai? I’m not really a fan of overtly sexual scenes. Even blatant fanservice has me frowning.

6. 3 things that’d be on your bucket list

SFW (albeit barely) version:

  • Release a yuri manga doujin somewhere (I guess online, but wouldn’t it be cool to sell doujins in Comiket).
  • Have an unrelated girl call me onii-chan to my face.
  • Win a cooking contest.

7. Favorite color (don’t laugh, I’m fumbling here)

I tend to spring for blue. A lot of my wardrobe has blue. But I do enjoy purple, too.

8. If you could be anything other than human, what would it be?

A tengu like those two reporter girls from Touhou. It’ll be hell to find clothes since the wings would get in the way, though.

9. Vampires or werewolves?

Werewolves. Vampires are just too mainstream!

10. Are you an introvert or an extrovert or some combination of the two?

I’m good at faking it these days, but I’m definitely an introvert at heart.

11. Which anime are you watching currently?

Well, for currently airing shows that I’m reviewing:

Flip Flappers
Girlish Number
Long Riders!
Lostorage incited WIXOSS
Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku
Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume
Stella no Mahou

I’m watching 3-gatsu no Lion, too, but I’m not going to review it.

I’m also about to rewatch Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic in order to be able to review it properly.

  5. Which fast-food joint do you avoid at all costs?

  1. Congrats! I love hearing facts about you because you present them in such a way that even if you think they are boring, they come off as either fun or funny. First off, props for wanting to win a cooking contest. I love to cook too so I admire like minded people. Your response “I don’t, but I still use the name of the girl I crushed on back in high school as the answer to the secret question, “What’s the name of your pet?” It’s messed up, I know” had me literally laughing out loud. Keep being awesome

    1. Thank you! Well, I’m glad I came across as entertaining. Yay, a cook! I wouldn’t personally consider myself to really be a chef, but I do find cooking to be both fun and a good way to destress.

I was shaking my head as I typed out that particular answer, but at least it made someone laugh. Thank you once again for the encouraging words!

    1. You’re very welcome and thank you! Well, it’s just lighter and sweeter, I think. I know Japanese mayo is different compared to the mayo I see in other grocery stores, too.

Looking into this, it seems like Heinz is different depending on the country. Hmm. At any rate, Japanese mayo is also pretty expensive so I guess we gotta pay a premium for that kind of flavor!

      1. Uwah. I’ve only had the mayo, which I think is also lighter and sweeter. You have shattered my expectations of ketchup now. (Though this is coming from someone who’s had banana ketchup.) Maybe with some eggs and rice…hm.

        1. Do you prefer Japanese mayo? I personally vouch for it.

Banana ketchup?! Banana can do anything… Well, people can always play around with ketchup, too. These days I usually add sriracha to my Heinz ketchup for an extra kick.

Sounds like you’re in the mood for some omurice!

          1. I haven’t had Japanese mayo in a while so I don’t remember. I will take your word for it!! Might have to take a trip to the store soon.

Yea! My mom used to get banana ketchup. It had a texture to it haha but was nice.

Sounds like you’re an expert in making food more tasty, like with the corn chips. XD Sriracha ketchup sounds delicious. I’ve been really addicted to hot sauce lately.

Oooo yes, I definitely am. Maybe I’ll make some…hm.

          2. Ah I thought I responded to this, oops. Mm regular mayo never really grew on me, but Japanese mayo is another story.

I’m going to have to try that one day. That sounds so interesting.

Haha I definitely encourage effeciently lazy snacking! Oh, stay away from Dave’s Temporary Insanity sauce, though. It’s the hottest thing I’ve ever tried bar none.

Go for it if you’re in the mood to do so! I’d rather go into a maid cafe and get them to serve me one, but that’s probably why I’m broke (also there is no maid cafes around here).

          3. Well, according to this one website yours may be hotter. There’s so many hot sauces that have similiar names (even within the same brand) that they end up confusing consumers. Still, temporary insanity also has some ghost peppers in them. Hmm which sauce is the victor in this case?

I’ve been obsessed with this cafe that sells crepes, Belgian waffles, gelato, and teas recently. But if it was a maid cafe, I’d probably go broke from going there too often haha.

Sometimes I think working at a maid cafe could be nice.

I-it's not like I want you to leave a comment or anything. B-baka.
