The last episode of Selectors and LRIGs! Or is it?
(Spoilers in this review)What really stood out to me during this episode was the amount of creepy faces the Bookmaker made. Several instances of off-model faces were also noticable.

During the battle, the Bookmaker reveals that he not only can change his cards, but he can change his opponent’s cards as well as use other Selectors’ abilities. That’s so overpowered. Both Suzuko and the Bookmaker are making excessive use of their coin abilites in an attempt to gain an edge.
He also talks about his past as a LRIG. It turns out he was a female LRIG. It’s funny how every male who was or is a Selector now has a female LRIG controlling their bodies.

He then basically convinces Riru to throw the match so she can continue being a LRIG and fight constant, life-or-death matches. She agrees.

…on the surface level, at least. It was actually a gambit to discourage the Bookmaker from using his ability so Suzuko and Riru can land a direct hit, and it worked. Riru actually had me worried, that amazing LRIG.

The battle continues and it’s a good thing that the studio never bothered trying to explain the rules of WIXOSS in-depth since it’s easy to tune out all these terms that don’t mean anything to me and just look at the character’s faces.
Both Suzuko and the Bookmaker are down to their last coins, but Suzuko can’t block his incoming attack and is about to lose.

And then Suzuko receives a coin from Chinatsu so she can use one last coin ability. This is basically like cheating!

The resulting ability from Suzuko using Chinatsu’s coin is called Requiem. Apparently both Suzuko’s ability, Honest, and Chinatsu’s ability, Beserk, combine together so the strength of Suzuko’s wish is converted into battle power for Riru.
Suzuko and Riru managed to beat the Bookmaker and secure victory. He never stops sounding like a prick even while his body essentially turns into ash and drifts away.
Since Suzuko now has five gold coins, she doesn’t have to be a Selector anymore and can choose to do something her memory.

Chinatsu tries to comfort Suzuko, who is distraught that Riru is gone. She also tells Suzuko that she won’t fight anymore Selector battles, which seems pretty dumb to me, but sure.
Then we get see the girls spending good family time. The healing has arrived?
The girls also get to spend a lot of time together.

All things must come to an end, however. It seems like Chinatsu stuck to her word and didn’t fight another battle. 90 days have passed and it seems like her time as a Selector is over. She almost disappeared, but Chinatsu is still safe.

And then we get to see how the other characters are faring. Nice closure, right?

The last few scenes reveal that Chinatsu has lost a good amount of her memories, including the fact that Suzuko was her childhood friend. To her, Suzuko is now a stranger.

Oh, and second season confirmed? Well, the big bad is going to run around with no one to stop him since no one is a Selector anymore…Hm.
Series review of this show is coming soon!
I have not seen this one yet (but I always run behind with almost every series lol😂). But looking at these screenshots, reading this review abd all the buzz I have been hearing about it: I most defintely will at one point 😀

Glad to hear it! You might want to watch the first two season before tackling this one. Then again, Lostorage can be enjoyed either way. Some characters from the first two seasons show up in this one, though.
