Character Challenge: A Collaboration with Acacia Aurora!!!

So Acacia Aurora, also known as Auri, came up with a cute challenge for our collaboration!

We also did a collaboration, where we wrote five individual Top 3 lists, a few months ago! So if you missed that, then you can check those posts out right here!

Day 1– Top 3 Tomboys:  Auri’s list and my picks! 
Day 2– Top 3 One Shots: Auri’s post and my choices! 
Day 3 – Top 3 Cool Old Dudes: Auri’s selections and my picks!
Day 4- Top 3 Funniest Manga: Auri’s Top Three and  my choices! 
Day 5 – Worst 3 OTPs: Auri’s list and my picks! 

So for this Character Challenge Collaboration, Auri came up with the idea that one of us would send the other a few prompts in which the sender vaguely describe an anime / manga character. The one receiving said prompts would then attempt to guess which character the sender had in mind. And then the sender and receiver would trade roles! Whoever ends up having the least amount of correct guesses has to write 2,000 words, I believe!

This is Auri’s attempt at guessing at my prompts. All in all, she did pretty good. She nailed the first character! I totally had Miyamura Izumi from Horimiya in mind when I submitted that description.

Unfortunately, I was thinking of Akiyama Mio from K-On! for the second one and Agamatsu Soubi from Loveless for the third one. Still, I realize that the second one was pretty unfair since I was quite vague. So I think Ayuzawa Misaki counts! Two outta three is decent! I’m worried I’ll bomb all three, wahaha.

So here are Auri’s character prompts:

1) Cool looking guy with terrible eye sight.

I could only think of Akane Yanagi from Horimiya! Multiple characters comment on his attractiveness and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. However, he is also very close-sighted and either has to don a pair of eyeglasses or contact lenses in order to actually see his surroundings.

2) Brown haired girl who writes in a sketchbook instead of speaking for a particular reason.

It’s gotta be Yamamoto Megumi, right? She prioritizes protecting and preserving her voice at all times, so she tries her best to communicate by writing on a notebook/notepad. As a result of her diligent care, however, her singing voice is excessively loud and piercing (but it becomes quite lovely if she sings in an open area. Don’t question anime logic.

3) Highschool boy who likes studying and doing things that make him smarter but hates school and goes through severe character development.

Wow, I have no idea about this one. I concede this prompt. Eh? Beautifully giving up like that deduces 1 point from my overall score? That’s harsh but fair.

  6. This is such a cool and fun idea! I definitely agree with number 2. It’s been a while since I thought about Special A. As for 1, I can think of another character but he’s from a shounen ai manga. Number 3 is kind of vague… Good luck!
