tl;dr – here are some good gay girl moments from summer 2018. Please don’t yell at me if your favourite moments are left out.
A Kabedon and the Opening of a New Door – Asobi Asobase episode 10
The accidental kabeon leading to Fujiwara’s new interest in Kasumi, along with Fujiwara internal monologue in both English and Japanese, make this a hilarious and unforgettable yuri moment.
Bedding the Rival – Hanebado! episode 3
Alright, there was no bed involved and this was a lame attempt at making a pun out of “besting the rival.” But isn’t tying up your rival, lying on top of said rival, getting face-to-face to aforementioned rival, and coughing directly at said rival…isn’t that just at least a little gay? It better be since I love it when rivals get gay with one another.
Washboards Abs and Love – Harukana Receive episode 8
This would be a really spicy ship if it was canon. I mean, even thought the pro coach has abs like an Amazonian goddess, she still is a mom and is married…maybe? I can’t remember if her husband was ever mentioned.
To be fair, though, I think anyone would start seeing hearts after seeing such a sight for sore eyes.
The Positional Switch – Harukana Receive episode 12
The bottom finally strikes back at the top and it’s glorious.
Imitation is the Most Sincere Form of TURBO GAY YURI LOVE – Happy Sugar Life episode 5
It’s so creepy to want to be the one you love to the point that you start imitating them and wanting to be like them. But my twisted heart also thinks it’s a bit romantic (and creepy). So this particular moment really stuck to me. I did really like Kuchibiru ni Suketa Orange after all…
The fact that the girl who is trying to be like her crush is less creepy than said crush is also something to be considered. It keeps things interesting, don’t it? The one being called out for troubling behaviour is actually the lesser of the two evils!
I don’t know what I’m saying at this point. I’m wrapping up (and scheduling) this post at 12:31 AM PST. Time to call it quits.
