Fall 2016 Anime to Look Out for

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while. With the new season almost upon us, it’s about time I talk about the shows that catch my interest. Is this boring post all that important? Not particuarly, but it’ll help me keep track of what I want to watch. Maybe it can help you make up your mind, too. It’s all opinion, so please don’t take offense if I didn’t mention a show you’re curious about!

My brother has been telling me to read 3-gatsu no Lion for years now. My excuse is that I’m more into mahjong than shogi. At any rate, I think this is the perfect chance to get caught up on the series. I’m just worried that Shaft might shaft the show.

I do love spin-offs. Even though I’ve never seen a single episode of Strike Witches (yet), I’m curious about Brave Witches. If I seem ignorant during my episodic reviews of this series, I apologize.

FLIP FLAPPERS seems like the story of two mahou shoujo on the search for mysterious object X. There’s potential for yuri shiptease (and cool action scenes). Count me in for this anime-original done by Studio 3Hz (which seems to be a relatively new studio).

Girlish Number is yet another show about VAs – in this particular instance, the series is about idol voice actresses. The road of a seiyuu is hard, though, if I’m going by what I saw in Shirobako, so I expect tons of drama. Produced by Diomedea.

Hibike! Euphonium 2 is coming out. I don’t think I can finish and review the original series in time. I think I’ll put it on hold and review both series when I have less shows to juggle.

I’m hooked on idols after getting into the Love Live! franchise, so you can bet I’m going to check out Idol Memories! A VR idol anime-original series by Seven Arcs.

Long Riders! seems to be an all-girls club show about long-distance bicycling. Good enough for me.

J.C. Staff is bringing back Wixoss by producing Lostorage incited WIXOSS. More despar incoming! I’ll try my best to finish the first two seasons before this one starts.

Murderous battle royale between mahou shoujo? Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? That’s why Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku has my interest.

Girls’ ping pong! I was really into table tennis as a middle schooler. We would waste our lunchtime playing matches, haha. Anyways, Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume could be fun. Smug protagonists are amusing.

Another season for SHOW BY ROCK!!. I need to watch the first season, though, so I’m putting SHOW BY ROCK!!# on hold for now.

Normal girl seeking peaceful everyday life becomes an exorcist! I’m kind of into supernatural things to a degree, so I’m going to give Soushin Shoujo Matoi a shot! Anime-original by White Fox.

Stella no Mahou is about an all-girls club that makes doujin video games. That’s a pretty good sentence, if I do say so myself.

ViVid Strike! is coming out in less than two days. I’m surprised that there’s two series from the Strike Witches franchise airing in the same season, to be honest. Again, I’m going to be ignorant as heck, so I apologize in advance.

I’m going to have to pass on Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars.

So it looks like I’m going to be trying to cover at least ten shows for this season, wow. Expect shorter episode reviews, haha. Sorry that this post is so minimalistic. Til next time!

I-it's not like I want you to leave a comment or anything. B-baka.
